The city of Tustin, originally founded in the 1870′s, is situated in the north-central portion of Orange County, in Southern California. Tustin, California is located off the Santa Ana 5 Freeway, Costa Mesa 55 Freeway, and is close to the 261 Eastern Transportation Toll Road. The area is bordered by the cities of North Tustin, Irvine, and Santa Ana, with small segments abutting the city of Orange and Peters Canyon Regional Park.
Tustin, California is approximately 20 miles from the beach, 40 miles from Downtown Los Angeles, and 10 miles from Disneyland.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Tustin, California was incorporated in 1927 with a population of only 900. As of 2010, the city had grown to 75,540 residents within an area of 11.1 square miles, for a total of 6,817 people per square mile.

In addition, Tustin High School has become a well respected educational facility, and has received national attention, after being named on Newsweek’s highly anticipated, yearly publication of America’s Best High Schools, for many years. Tustin High School made the list again in 2011, and ranked in the 450th spot.
