Anaheim Hills, which is the unofficial name for the eastern, planned community portion of Anaheim, is situated in the north east area of Orange County, in Southern California. The community of Anaheim Hills, California is located off the 91 Riverside Freeway, backs up to the Cleveland National Forest, and is bordered by the cities of Yorba Linda, Villa Park, and Orange, California.
Anaheim Hills is approximately 25 miles from the beach, 40 miles from Downtown Los Angeles, and 15 miles from Disneyland.
Although there were a couple of planned communities that existed in this north Orange County city in the 1940s and 1950s, the majority of growth in Anaheim Hills did not take place until the 1970s, when the area was taken over by Texaco Industries.
According to the US Census Bureau, as of 2010, there were 55,036 residents in the living in the area known as Anaheim Hills, California.
